Dance Instructor-Part-Time
Genres: Ballet, Jazz, Hip-hop, Modern Dance, Liturgical

Harmony Academy of the Arts is looking for dance instructors with teaching/performing experience. Looking for instructors trained in all forms of dance with a strong ballet background; dance for worship a plus. Must be willing to work with all ages. Easy going, fun spirited, energetic, positive, able to create innovative choreography, be punctual and with strong work ethic.

Responsibilities include:

  • Teach children & adult students, in group or private one-on-one lessons.
  • Conduct group classes for further instruction, and supervise dance sessions in which students practice their skills to music. Class instruction includes demonstrating mechanics and techniques, selecting music, monitoring class performance, assisting individual students, and suggesting improvements.
  • Choreograph and perform dance routines with students in local, regional and national performances and recitals.
  • Participate in promoting dance instruction to prospective students.
  • Propose and enroll students in courses of instruction to meet their interests and objectives.
  • Be responsible for preparing lesson plans, maintaining student records, planning courses of instruction, scheduling students for lessons and ensuring student progress.
  • Assist student preparation for examinations to graduate from progressive skill levels.
  • Continually improve one’s own skill level by ongoing study and practice

Music Instructor-Part-Time
Instruments: Voice, piano, and strings.

Harmony Academy of the Arts is looking for music instructors with teaching/performing experience. Looking for highly trained/skilled instructors. Must be willing to work with all ages. Easy going, fun spirited, energetic, positive, able to transmit passion and, be punctual and with strong work ethic.   • Facilitate the student recruitment process through different types of marketing efforts that include telemarketing, personal selling, and generating leads through corporate and community outreach.
  • Establish and maintain relationships within the community such as churches and local institutions.
